We have a couple in our church who is connected with Samaritan's Purse who will be doing disaster relief in North Carolina. This is a great organization who are serving on the ground and sharing the Gospel! They are currently looking to go to Asheville (1st choice) or Boone on Nov 3rd. There is a large influx of volunteers heading up and they are placing this team as soon as possible. That would mean that travel would be on Sunday and return on the following Friday.
If you are interested in going on a disaster relief trip, please contact Dick Tullie, 843-208-4251
dicktullie@gmail.com ASAP. If you would like to go, please do NOT go to the website to register, but you will be sent an invite to register.
The only cost of such a trip is getting there. A space is provided (usually in a Lighthouse church) for sleeping and meals. One would need a sleeping bag and if possible, a cot and/or air mattress. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out.
